✧ ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Zayd b. al-Khaṭṭāb delivered a sermon on the day that is doubtful, and said: “Indeed, I have sat with the companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ and questioned them. They told me that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: ‘Fast when you see it and break your fast when you see it, and perform the rites according to it. If it is obscured from you, then complete thirty days. And if two Muslim witnesses testify, then fast and break your fast.’”
