✧ I said to Ammar, 'Do you consider your fighting a matter of opinion you have formed?' Hajjaj asked, 'Do you consider this matter—meaning their fighting—a matter of opinion you have formed? For opinion errs and hits the mark, or a covenant the Messenger of God ﷺ entrusted to you?' He said, 'The Messenger of God ﷺ did not entrust us with anything he did not entrust to all people.' And he said, 'Indeed, the Messenger of God ﷺ said: In my nation—' Shu'bah said, 'I think he said...'
