حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

بِتُّ لَيْلَةً عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَهَا فِي لَيْلَتِهَا، فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ لِأُصَلِّيَ بِصَلَاتِهِ، قَالَ: فَأَخَذَ بِذُؤَابَةٍ كَانَتْ لِي - أَوْ بِرَأْسِي - حَتَّى جَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

Translation

✧ I spent the night at the house of my maternal aunt Maymuna bt. al-Harith while the Messenger of God ﷺ was with her on her night. He got up to pray during the night, and I stood at his left to pray along with his prayer. He said: Then he took hold of a lock of hair I had—or of my head—until he placed me on his right.
