✧ When Barirah was given the choice, I saw her husband follow her in the streets of Madinah, with tears flowing down his beard. So Al-Abbas went to speak to the Prophet, ﷺ, about it. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, said to Barirah, "He is your husband." She said, "Are you commanding me to go back to him, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "I am only trying to intercede." So she was given the choice, and she chose herself. And he was a slave of the Banu Al-Mughira, whose name was Mugheeth.
