✧ Abū Mūsā said to ‘Abd Allāh b. Mas‘ūd, “If we do not find water, shall we not pray?” ‘Abd Allāh said, “Yes, if we do not find water for a month, we will not pray. If I gave them a concession in this, when one of them felt the cold he would say, ‘Like this’—meaning he would perform tayammum—and pray.” I said to him, “Then what about ‘Ammār’s statement to ‘Umar?” He said, “I have not seen ‘Umar accept ‘Ammār’s statement.”
