حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ أَنَّ أَبَا الْغَرِيفِ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ قَالَ صَفْوَانُ
بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ قَالَ: سِيرُوا بِاسْمِ اللهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، تُقَاتِلُونَ أَعْدَاءَ اللهِ، لَا تَغُلُّوا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا، وَلِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ إِذَا أَدْخَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى طُهُورٍ، وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ.

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ sent us on a military expedition. He said: “March in the name of God, in the path of God. You will fight the enemies of God. Do not embezzle, and do not kill a child. For the traveler, three days and their nights, he may wipe over his leather socks if he inserted his feet [into them] while in a state of purity. For the resident, one day and one night.”
