Musnad Ahmad 18066
✧ K'ab bin Mura al-Sulami or Mura bin K'ab.
Translation
✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, and a man came to him and said: Ask Allah for rain for Muḍar. He said: “You are indeed bold, for Muḍar?” The man said: O Messenger of Allah, you sought victory from Allah [Mighty and Majestic], and He granted you victory; and you supplicated Allah [Mighty and Majestic], and He answered you. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands, saying: “O Allah, give us abundant, fruitful, wholesome, widespread, copious rain, soon, not delayed, beneficial, not harmful.” He said: They were revived. He said: It was not long before they came to him and complained of the excess of rain, saying: The houses have collapsed. He said: He raised his hands and said: “O Allah, around us and not upon us.” He said: The clouds began to break up right and left.
