حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُمَرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِي لَاسٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَ

حَمَلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى إِبِلٍ مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ لِلْحَجِّ، فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا نَرَى أَنْ تَحْمِلَنَا هَذِهِ، قَالَ: « مَا مِنْ بَعِيرٍ إِلَّا فِي ذُرْوَتِهِ شَيْطَانٌ، فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهَا إِذَا رَكِبْتُمُوهَا كَمَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ، ثُمَّ امْتَهِنُوهَا لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ، فَإِنَّمَا يَحْمِلُ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] ».

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mounted us on camels from the zakah camels for the Hajj. We said: O Messenger of Allah, we do not think these will carry us. He said: "There is no camel but that on its peak is a devil, so mention the name of Allah over them when you mount them as I have commanded you, then use them for yourselves, for it is only Allah [Mighty and Majestic] who carries."
