حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ قَالَ
أَرَادَتْ أُمِّي الْحَجَّ، وَكَانَ جَمَلُهَا أَعْجَفَ، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: « اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ ».

✧ My mother intended to perform Hajj, and her camel was emaciated. This was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, so he said: “Perform ‘Umrah in Ramadan, for an ‘Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to a Hajj.”
