✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and he raised his gaze at me, then lowered it, and said: "A little calamity." I said: "O Messenger of God, a little calamity of good or a little calamity of evil?" He said: "Rather a little calamity of good." I said: "O Messenger of God, we are in a land of hunting. I send my trained dog, and sometimes I catch up to it while it is still alive enough to slaughter, and sometimes I do not catch up to it in time to slaughter it. And I shoot with my arrow, and sometimes I catch up to it while it is still alive enough to slaughter, and sometimes I do not catch up to it in time to slaughter it." The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Eat whatever your hand, your bow, and your trained dog bring back to you, whether it is slaughtered or not."
