✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to my father and stayed with him, or my father said to him: Stay with me. He said: So he brought him food and a dish of dates mixed with butter and dried curd (ḥaysah) and barley porridge (sawīq), and he ate it. He used to eat dates and throw the pits—he described with his two fingers, the index and middle, using the backs of them—from his mouth. Then he brought him a drink, and he drank, then he handed it to the one on his right. Then he stood and took hold of his mount's bridle, and said: Supplicate to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, for me. So he said: "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided them, and forgive them, and have mercy on them."
