✧ We used to do muhaqalah in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a third, a quarter, or specified food. He said: Some of my paternal uncles came to us and said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us something that was beneficial for us. Obedience to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is better and more beneficial for us. He said: We said: And what is that? He said: The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or give it to his brother to cultivate, and not lease it for a third, a quarter, or specified food.'
