حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَكَانَ قَلِيلَ الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: كُلُّ ذَنْبٍ عَسَى اللهُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَهُ، إِلَّا الرَّجُلَ يَمُوتُ كَافِرًا، أَوِ الرَّجُلَ يَقْتُلُ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا

✧ I heard Muʿāwiyah—who narrated little from the Messenger of God ﷺ—say: "I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'Every sin God may forgive, except a man who dies as an unbeliever, or a man who intentionally kills a believer.'"
