حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَا تُبَادِرُونِي فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ، فَإِنِّي قَدْ بَدُنْتُ، وَمَهْمَا أَسْبِقْكُمْ بِهِ إِذَا رَكَعْتُ تُدْرِكُونِي إِذَا رَفَعْتُ، وَمَهْمَا أَسْبِقْكُمْ بِهِ إِذَا سَجَدْتُ تُدْرِكُونِي إِذَا رَفَعْتُ

Translation

✧ Do not precede me in bowing and prostrating, for I have become heavy. Whatever I may precede you with when I bow, you can catch up with me when I rise; and whatever I may precede you with when I prostrate, you can catch up with me when I rise.
