Musnad Ahmad 16827

✧ The Habashi Lab, who was among the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and it is said that he is the son of the nephew of al-Najashi, and it is said: Thayy al-Makhmar.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ الرَّحَبِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَاشِدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْمَقْرَائِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي حَيٍّ عَنْ ذِي مِخْمَرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ كَانَ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِيحِمْيَرَ فَنَزَعَهُ اللهُ ﷻ مِنْهُمْ فَجَعَلَهُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَسَ يَ عُ ودُ إِ لَ يْ هِ مْ وَكَذَا كَانَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي مُقَطَّعًا وَحَيْثُ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ تَكَلَّمَ عَلَى الِاسْتِوَاءِ حَدِيثُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: This matter was in Himyar, but God, Exalted is He, took it away from them and placed it in Quraysh, and it will return to them. And thus it was in the book of Abu Muqatta’an, and when he narrated it to us he spoke about it in full. The hadith of Muawiyah b. Abi Sufyan.
