  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

machine translationAḥmad recorded it, but there is a break (inqiṭāʿ) in its chain; al-Dāraquṭnī connected it (waṣalahu), and its narrators are trustworthy (thiqāt).

    in مسند أحمد, p. 16954
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

  • Ibn Kathīr

machine translationAḥmad narrated it in this way, and it is broken in transmission (munqaṭiʿ), for Sulaymān b. Mūsā al-Ashdaq did not meet Jubayr b. Muṭʿim.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 16954
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

    in مسند أحمد, p. 16954
  • Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr

machine translationThey say that it is among the reports that Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh alone connected, and he was not corroborated in that; rather it is mursal. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal said: The correct version of it is mursal; with us it is not through the route of Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 16954
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationAl-Bayhaqī mentioned the disagreement about its chain of transmission, and its origin has already been given in the Book of Ḥajj, and this addition is not preserved (maḥfūẓ).
