حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ قَالَ
مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا بِالْأَبْوَاءِ أَوْ بِوَدَّانَ، فَأَهْدَيْتُ لَهُ مِنْ لَحْمِ حِمَارِ وَحْشٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيَّ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى فِي وَجْهِي الْكَرَاهَةَ، قَالَ: إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِنَا رَدٌّ عَلَيْكَ وَلَكِنَّا حُرُمٌ.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by me while I was at al-Abwa' or Waddan, and I gifted him some meat of a wild donkey while he was in ihram, but he returned it to me. When he saw the displeasure in my face, he said, 'It is not that we are rejecting you, but we are in ihram.'
