✧ It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon a Muslim for more than three nights. If they cut off relations for more than three, then they are both deviating from the truth as long as they remain in their state of estrangement. The first of them to return to reconciliation, his preceding in returning is an expiation for him. If he greets him and he does not return his greeting, and he does return his greeting, the angels return his greeting and Satan returns the greeting of the other. If they both die while estranged, they will never meet in Paradise.
