✧ I married the daughter of Abu Ihab, and a black woman came and mentioned that she had suckled us both. I went to the Prophet ﷺ and stood before him and spoke to him, but he turned away from me. I stood at his right, and he turned away from me. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, she is only a black woman." He said: "How can it be, when it has been said?"

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationʿAbd al-Salām b. Harb narrated it from Ayyūb, from Ibn Abī Mulaykah, from al-Miswar b. Makhramah, and he erred in it with a gross error, because this is not from the hadith of al-Miswar. Rather, Ibn Abī Mulaykah narrated it from ʿUqbah b. al-Ḥārith b. ʿĀmir. It was narrated in that way by Ibn ʿUlayyah, ʿAbd al-Wārith and Wuhayb, from Ayyūb.
