✧ Indeed Satan sat in wait for the son of Adam on his paths. He sat for him on the path of Islam and said, “Will you submit and abandon your religion and the religion of your fathers and forefathers?” He disobeyed him and submitted. Then he sat for him on the path of emigration and said, “Will you emigrate and leave your land and your sky? The likeness of the emigrant is only like a horse tethered by a long rope.” He disobeyed him and emigrated. Then he sat for him on the path of jihad and said, “It is exertion of self and wealth; you fight and are killed, so your wife is married and your wealth is divided.” He disobeyed him and fought in jihad. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever does that and then dies, it is binding upon Allah [Mighty and Majestic] to admit him to Paradise; or if he is killed, it is binding upon Allah to admit him to Paradise; and if he drowns, it is binding upon Allah to admit him to Paradise; or if a mount throws him and breaks his neck, it is binding upon Allah to admit him to Paradise.”
