حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ [قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ] وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ غَسَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الرَّسِيمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
وَفَدْنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَهَانَا عَنِ الظُّرُوفِ. قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَدِمْنَا عَلَيْهِ، فَقُلْنَا: إِنَّ أَرْضَنَا أَرْضٌ وَخِمَةٌ ! قَالَ: فَقَالَ اشْرَبُوا فِيمَا شِئْتُمْ، مَنْ شَاءَ أَوْكَى سِقَاءَهُ عَلَى إِثْمٍ.

✧ We came as a delegation to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he forbade us from using certain vessels. He said: Then we came to him again, and we said: Our land is a fever-ridden land! He said: So he said: Drink in whatever you wish. Whoever wishes may tie his waterskin over a sin.
