حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ

نَادَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ: أَفِيكُمْ أُوَيْسٌ الْقَرَنِيُّ ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ التَّابِعِينَ أُوَيْسًا الْقَرَنِيَّ.

✧ A man from the people of Syria called out on the day of Siffin: Is Uways al-Qarani among you? They said: Yes. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Indeed among the best of the Successors is Uways al-Qarani.
