✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while I was of disheveled appearance. He said: "Do you have wealth?" He said: I said: "Yes." He said: "What is your wealth?" He said: "From every kind of wealth; from horses, camels, slaves, and sheep." He said: "If God, Mighty and Majestic, gives you wealth, let it be seen on you." Then he said: "Are your people's camels born with sound ears, and do you take the razor and cut them, or cut them, saying: 'These are buhūr,' and slit their skins, saying: 'These are ṣurum,' and forbid them for yourself and your family?" He said: I said: "Yes." He said: "Everything that God, Mighty and Majestic, has given you is lawful for you, and God's forearm is stronger, and God's razor is sharper." And sometimes he said it, and sometimes he did not say it, and sometimes he said: "God's forearm is stronger than your forearm, and God's razor is sharper than your razor." He said: I said: "O Messenger of God, a man with whom I stayed and who did not host me or honor me, then he stays with me — should I host him, or repay him for what he did?" He said: "Rather, host him."
