✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ while I was of disheveled appearance. He said: "Do you have wealth?" He said: I said: "Yes." He said: "From what kind of wealth?" He said: I said: "From every kind of wealth; from camels, slaves, horses, and sheep." He said: "If God gives you wealth, let it be seen on you." Then he said: "Are your people's camels born with sound ears, and do you take a razor and cut their ears, saying: 'These are buhūr,' and slit their skins, or slit their hides, saying: 'These are ṣurum,' and forbid them for yourself and your family?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Indeed, what God, Mighty and Majestic, has given you is for you, and God's forearm is stronger, and God's razor is sharper." And sometimes he said: "God's forearm is stronger than your forearm, and God's razor is sharper than your razor." He said: I said: "O Messenger of God, what do you think of a man with whom I stayed and who did not honor me or host me, then he stays with me — should I repay him for what he did, or host him?" He said: "Host him."
