✧ That Ka'b b. Malik, when Allah accepted his repentance, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "Indeed, Allah did not save me except through truthfulness, and part of my repentance to Allah is that I will never lie again, and I divest myself of my wealth as charity for Allah [Most High] and His Messenger." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: "Keep some of your wealth, for it is better for you." He said: "Then I will keep my share from Khaybar."

machine translationMaʿmar contradicted Ibn Jurayj, saying: from al-Zuhrī, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Kaʿb, from his father. The narration of Ibn Jurayj is more sound (aṣaḥḥ), and the one who contradicted him does not harm it.
