Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade renting out land. So that was mentioned to Ibn Umar, and a man said: I saw Ibn Jabir seeking land to rent for cultivation. Ibn Umar said: Look at this man! His father narrates from the Prophet ﷺ that he forbade renting out land, yet he is seeking land to rent for cultivation.
