حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ:
شَكَا أَهْلُ الْكُوفَةِ سَعْدًا إِلَى عُمَرَ، فَقَالُوا: لَا يُحْسِنُ يُصَلِّي. قَالَ: فَسَأَلَهُ عُمَرُ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي أُصَلِّي بِهِمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، أَرْكُدُ فِي الْأُولَيَيْنِ، وَأَحْذِفُ فِي الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ. قَالَ: ذَلِكَ الظَّنُّ بِكَ يَا أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ

✧ The people of Kufa complained about Sa'd to 'Umar, saying: He does not pray well. He said: 'Umar asked him, and he said: I pray with them the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, prolonging in the first two and shortening in the last two. He said: That is what was thought of you, O Abu Ishaq.
