حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَثِيَابٌ لَهُ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ أَوِ الْمِشْجَبِ فَقَامَ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِثَوْبِهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ حِينَ انْصَرَفَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى هَكَذَا.

✧ I entered upon Jabir b. Abdullah, and when the prayer time arrived, he had clothes on the bed or the clothes rack. He stood up wrapping himself in his garment and prayed. Then when he finished, he said, 'I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ pray like this.'
