Show the chain

✧ I marvel at Allah's decree for the believer: if good befalls him, he praises his Lord and gives thanks; and if calamity befalls him, he praises his Lord and is patient. The believer is rewarded in everything, even in the morsel he raises to his wife's mouth.

  • Bazzār

machine translationWe do not know it to be narrated from Saʿd with a sound chain except by this route. It has also been narrated from Ṣuhayb and from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ. We have mentioned this hadith from the narration of al-Aʿmash, from Abū Isḥāq, from Muṣʿab, from his father. The correct version is what Shuʿbah and al-Thawrī narrated from Abū Isḥāq, from al-ʿAyzār, from ʿUmar b. Saʿd, from his father.

    in مسند أحمد, p. 1494
