حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا، عَنِ الْعَقَبَةِ قَالَ: شَهِدَهَا سَبْعُونَ فَوَافَقَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: قَدْ أَخَذْتُ وَأَعْطَيْتُ.

✧ I asked Jabir about the Pledge of Aqabah. He said: Seventy attended it, and the Prophet ﷺ met them with Abbas b. Abdul Muttalib holding his hand. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'I have taken and I have given.'
