حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ
أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ الْعَدُوَّ كَانُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ، وَأَنَّا صَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ، فَكَبَّرَ وَكَبَّرْنَا مَعَهُ جَمِيعًا، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ وَرَكَعْنَا مَعَهُ جَمِيعًا، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ سَجَدَ وَسَجَدَ مَعَهُ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، وَقَامَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ فِي نُحُورِ الْعَدُوِّ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ وَقَامَ مَعَهُ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ؛ انْحَدَرَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ بِالسُّجُودِ، ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ، وَتَأَخَّرَ الصَّفُّ الْمُقَدَّمُ، فَرَكَعَ وَرَكَعْنَا مَعَهُ جَمِيعًا، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، وَسَجَدَ مَعَهُ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، فَلَمَّا سَجَدَ الصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ، وَجَلَسَ، انْحَدَرَ الصَّفُّ الْمُؤَخَّرُ بِالسُّجُودِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ وَسَلَّمْنَا جَمِيعًا. قَالَ جَابِرٌ: كَمَا يَفْعَلُ حَرَسُكُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ بِأُمَرَائِهِمْ.
Translation

✧ That he prayed the fear prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he mentioned that the enemy was between them and the qiblah, and that we formed two rows behind him. He said the takbir and we all said the takbir with him. Then he bowed and we all bowed with him. When he raised his head from bowing, he prostrated and the row nearest him prostrated with him, while the rear row remained standing facing the enemy. When he stood up and the row nearest him stood up with him, the rear row went down into prostration. Then the rear row advanced and the front row withdrew. He bowed and we all bowed with him. Then he prostrated and the row nearest him prostrated with him. When the row nearest him had prostrated and sat, the rear row went down into prostration. Then he said the taslim and we all said the taslim together. Jabir said: 'Just as these guards of yours do with their commanders.'
