حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مِخْوَلٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ يُفْرِغُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا - قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: أَظُنُّهُ فِي الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ - فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ: إِنَّ شَعَرِي كَثِيرٌ، فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَكْثَرَ شَعَرًا مِنْكَ وَأَطْيَبَ

Translation

✧ He used to pour water over his head three times—Shu'bah said: 'I think it was in the ghusl from janabah.' A man from Banu Hashim said: 'My hair is abundant.' Jabir said: 'The Messenger of God ﷺ had more hair than you and it was more fragrant.'
