حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
إِنِّي لَرَدِيفُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ: وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ إِلَى جَنْبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، قَالَ: وَإِنِّي لَأَرَى قَدَمِي لَتَمَسُّ قَدَمَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، قَالَ: فَأَمْهَلَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى خَرَجَ أَهْلُ الزَّرْعِ إِلَى زُرُوعِهِمْ، وَأَهْلُ الْمَوَاشِي إِلَى مَوَاشِيهِمْ، قَالَ: كَبَّرَ ثُمَّ أَغَارَ عَلَيْهِمْ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ، فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ

✧ I was riding behind Abu Talhah, and Abu Talhah was beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I could see my foot touching the foot of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave them respite until the farmers went out to their fields and the livestock owners to their livestock. Then he said the takbir and raided them, and said, "Indeed, when we descend upon the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those who were warned."
