Translation

✧ Umm Sulaym sent me with a basket containing fresh dates, but I did not find the Prophet ﷺ in his house, as he was with a client of his who had prepared for him some tharīd, or he said: a tharīdah with meat and gourd. He called me and seated me with him, and I saw that the gourd pleased him, so I began pushing it toward him. When he had finished eating and returned to his house, I placed the basket before him, and he began eating from it and dividing it until he came to the last of it.
