حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌعَنْ أَنَسٍ
يُطَوَّلُ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى النَّاسِ؛ فَيَقُولُ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: انْطَلِقُوا بِنَا إِلَى آدَمَ [إِلَى] أَبِي الْبَشَرِ فَيَشْفَعُ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّنَا [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَأْتُونَ آدَمَ، فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا آدَمُ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ اللهُ بِيَدِهِ وَأَسْكَنَكَ جَنَّتَهُ، فَاشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ، فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا؛ فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا نُوحًا رَأْسَ النَّبِيِّينَ، فَيَأْتُونَهُ فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا نُوحُ، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلَ اللهِ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ]، فَيَأْتُونَهُ فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا مُوسَى الَّذِي اصْطَفَاهُ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] بِرِسَالَاتِهِ وَبِكَلَامِهِ، قَالَ: فَيَأْتُونَهُ، فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا مُوسَى، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا عِيسَى رُوحَ اللهِ وَكَلِمَتَهُ، فَيَأْتُونَ عِيسَى، فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا عِيسَى، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا مُحَمَّدًا [ ﷺ ] فَإِنَّهُ خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ، وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ حَضَرَ الْيَوْمَ وَقَدْ غُفِرَ لَهُ [ذَنْبُهُ] مَا تَقَدَّمَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ، فَيَقُولُ عِيسَى: أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ كَانَ مَتَاعًا فِي وِعَاءٍ قَدْ خُتِمَ عَلَيْهِ، هَلْ كَانَ يُقْدَرُ عَلَى مَا فِي الْوِعَاءِ حَتَّى يُفَضَّ الْخَاتَمُ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ: لَا، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا ﷺ خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: فَيَأْتُونِي، فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، قَالَ: فَأَقُولُ: نَعَمْ، فَآتِي بَابَ الْجَنَّةِ فَآخُذُ بِحَلْقَةِ الْبَابِ فَأَسْتَفْتِحُ، فَيُقَالُ: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ فَأَقُولُ: مُحَمَّدٌ، فَيُفْتَحُ لِي فَأَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا، فَأَحْمَدُ رَبِّي [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] بِمَحَامِدَ لَمْ يَحْمَدْهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلِي وَلَا يَحْمَدُهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدِي، فَيَقُولُ: ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ، فَقُلْ يُسْمَعْ مِنْكَ، وَسَلْ تُعْطَهْ، وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ، فَأَقُولُ: أَيْ رَبِّ أُمَّتِي أُمَّتِي، فَيُقَالُ: أَخْرِجْ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ شَعِيرَةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ، قَالَ: فَأُخْرِجُهُمْ، ثُمَّ أَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا فَأَحْمَدُهُ بِمَحَامِدَ لَمْ يَحْمَدْهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلِي وَلَا يَحْمَدُهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدِي، فَيُقَالُ لِي: ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ وَسَلْ تُعْطَهْ وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ، فَأَقُولُ: أَيْ رَبِّ، أُمَّتِي أُمَّتِي. فَيُقَالُ: أَخْرِجْ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ بُرَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ، قَالَ: فَأُخْرِجُهُمْ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ أَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا، فَأَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَيُقَالُ: أَخْرِجْ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ، قَالَ: فَأُخْرِجُهُمْ

✧ The Day of Resurrection will be prolonged for the people, so some will say to others: 'Let us go to Adam, the father of humanity, to intercede for us with our Lord, Mighty and Majestic, so that He may judge between us.' So they will go to Adam and say: 'O Adam, you are the one whom Allah created with His hand and caused to dwell in His garden, so intercede for us with your Lord, that He may judge between us.' He will say: 'I am not the one for that, but go to Noah, the head of the prophets.' So they will go to him and say: 'O Noah, intercede for us with your Lord, that He may judge between us.' He will say: 'I am not the one for that, but go to Abraham, the friend of Allah, Mighty and Majestic.' So they will go to him and say: 'O Abraham, intercede for us with your Lord, that He may judge between us.' He will say: 'I am not the one for that, but go to Moses, whom Allah, Mighty and Majestic, chose with His messages and His speech.' So they will go to him and say: 'O Moses, intercede for us with your Lord, Mighty and Majestic, that He may judge between us.' He will say: 'I am not the one for that, but go to Jesus, the spirit of Allah and His word.' So they will go to Jesus and say: 'O Jesus, intercede for us with your Lord, that He may judge between us.' He will say: 'I am not the one for that, but go to Muhammad ﷺ, for he is the seal of the prophets, and today he has attended and his sins have been forgiven, the earlier and the later.' Jesus will say: 'Do you think that if goods were in a sealed container, could anyone access what was in the container until the seal is broken?' They will say: 'No.' He said: 'Indeed Muhammad ﷺ is the seal of the prophets.' He said: 'So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: They will come to me and say: O Muhammad, intercede for us with your Lord, that He may judge between us. I will say: Yes. So I will come to the gate of Paradise and take hold of the ring of the gate and seek permission to enter. It will be said: Who are you? I will say: Muhammad. It will be opened for me, and I will fall down in prostration and praise my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, with praises that no one before me has used, and no one after me will use. He will say: Raise your head; ask and you will be given, intercede and you will be granted intercession. I will say: O Lord, my community, my community. It will be said: Bring out those who have in their hearts the weight of a barley grain of faith.' He said: 'So I will bring them out. Then I will fall down in prostration and praise Him with praises that no one before me has used, and no one after me will use. It will be said to me: Raise your head; ask and you will be given, intercede and you will be granted intercession. I will say: O Lord, my community, my community. It will be said: Bring out those who have in their hearts the weight of a wheat grain of faith.' He said: 'So I will bring them out. Then I will fall down in prostration and say the same. It will be said: Bring out those who have in their hearts the weight of an atom of faith.' He said: 'So I will bring them out.'
