✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade visiting graves, eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, and nabidh in gourds, hollowed-out stumps, green jars, and pitch-covered vessels. He said: Then the Messenger of God ﷺ said after that: “Indeed, I had forbidden you three things, but then I changed my mind about them. I forbade you from visiting graves, then I thought it softens the heart, brings tears to the eye, and reminds of the Hereafter, so visit them, but do not say anything improper. I forbade you from eating the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three nights, then I thought that people entertain their guests and store for their absent ones, so keep whatever you wish. I forbade you from nabidh in these vessels, so drink from whatever you wish, but do not drink anything intoxicating. Whoever wishes may tie shut his waterskin upon sin.”
