✧ No one was more eager to pray the afternoon prayer early than the Messenger of God ﷺ. The two men of the Ansar whose homes were farthest from the mosque of the Messenger of God ﷺ were Abu Lubabah b. Abd al-Mundhir, the brother of Banu Amr b. Awf, and Abu Abs b. Jabr, the brother of Banu Harithah. Abu Lubabah's house was in Quba', and Abu Abs b. Jabr's house was among Banu Harithah. Yet they would pray the afternoon prayer with the Messenger of God ﷺ and then go to their people, who had not yet prayed it, because of how early the Messenger of God ﷺ prayed it.
