✧ I have never smelled ambergris or musk, or anything at all, sweeter than the scent of the Messenger of God ﷺ, and I have never touched brocade or silk, or anything at all, softer to the touch than the Messenger of God ﷺ. Thabit said: I said: "O Abu Hamzah, is it not as if you are looking at the Messenger of God ﷺ and hearing his voice?" He said: "Yes, by God, I hope to meet him on the Day of Resurrection and say: 'O Messenger of God, your little servant.'" He said: "I served him for ten years in Madinah while I was a boy, and not every matter of mine was as my companion would wish it to be. He never said 'uff' to me about anything, nor did he say to me: 'Why did you do this?' or 'Why did you not do this?'"
