حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَخَذَتْ بِيَدِهِ مَقْدَمَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَذَا أَنَسٌ ابْنِي، وَهُوَ غُلَامٌ كَاتِبٌ. قَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَخَدَمْتُهُ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ، فَمَا قَالَ لِي لِشَيْءٍ صَنَعْتُهُ: أَسَأْتَ، أَوْ بِئْسَمَا صَنَعْتَ

Translation

That Umm Sulaym took him (Anas) by the hand to the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is my son Anas, and he is a young boy who can write." Anas said, "I served him for nine years, and he never ˹rebuked˺ me about something I did, ˹by saying˺ 'Why did you do that?' or, 'You did that poorly.'"
