حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
كَانَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ، وَلَهَا ابْنٌ مِنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ يُكْنَى أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ، وَكَانَ يُمَازِحُهُ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَرَآهُ حَزِينًا، فَقَالَ: مَا لِي أَرَى أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ حَزِينًا ؟ فَقَالُوا: مَاتَ نُغَرُهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَلْعَبُ بِهِ. قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ: أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ، مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ. ؟
Translation

✧ He used to visit Umm Sulaym, who had a son from Abu Talhah called Abu 'Umayr. He would joke with him. He entered upon him once and found him sad, so he said: "Why do I see Abu 'Umayr sad?" They said: "His little bird that he used to play with died." He then began saying: "Abu 'Umayr, what happened to the little bird?"
