حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ - أَوْ أَعْرَابِيٌّ - إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَتَى السَّاعَةُ ؟ قَالَ: وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ قَالَ: مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ. فَقَالَ: أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ. قَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَمَا رَأَيْتُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَرِحُوا بِشَيْءٍ بَعْدَ الْإِسْلَامِ أَشَدَّ مِمَّا فَرِحُوا يَوْمَئِذٍ
Translation

✧ A man - or a Bedouin - came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of God, when is the Hour?' He said: 'And what have you prepared for it?' He said: 'I have not prepared for it except that I love God and His Messenger.' He said: 'You are with the one you love.' Anas said: 'I did not see the Muslims rejoice over anything after Islam more intensely than they rejoiced that day.'
