Musnad Ahmad 12781

Translation

✧ When this verse was revealed: You will not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love, or he said: Who is it that will lend Allah a good loan, Abu Talha b. Sahl al-Ansari came and said: O Messenger of Allah, my garden which is at such-and-such a place, and if I could [O Messenger of Allah] keep it secret I would not make it public. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Give it to the poor among your relatives, or he said: to the poor of your family.
