حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيُسْلِمُ لِشَيْءٍ يُعْطَاهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، فَمَا يُمْسِي حَتَّى يَكُونَ الْإِسْلَامُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ وَأَعَزَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

Translation

✧ A man would come to the Prophet ﷺ and embrace Islam for something of this world he would be given, and by evening Islam would be more beloved to him and dearer to him than the world and all it contains.
