حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْفَرَّاءُ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ
كُنَّا نُخْرِجُ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ إِذْ كَانَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ زَبِيبٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ
Translation

✧ We used to give zakat al-fitr when the Messenger of God ﷺ was among us: one sa' of food, or one sa' of dates, or one sa' of barley, or one sa' of raisins, or one sa' of dried curd. We continued doing so until Mu'awiyah came to us.
