حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْتِي أَحَدَكُمْ وَهُوَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَيَأْخُذُ شَعَرَةً مِنْ دُبُرِهِ فَيَمُدُّهَا فَيَرَى أَنَّهُ قَدْ أَحْدَثَ، فَلَا يَنْصَرِفْ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, the Shaytan comes to one of you while he is praying and takes a strand of hair from the back of his head and stretches it out, and he sees that he has caused a disturbance. He does not leave until he hears a sound or finds a fragrance."
