حَدَّثَنَا سَكَنُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولَانِ
رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نُخَامَةً فِي الْقِبْلَةِ فَتَنَاوَلَ حَصَاةً فَحَكَّهَا بِهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لَا يَتَنَخَّمْ أَحَدٌ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ رِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ saw mucus in the direction of the qiblah, so he took a pebble and scraped it with it. Then he said: 'Let no one spit in the direction of the qiblah or to his right, but let him spit to his left or under his left foot.'
