✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on the pulpit and we sat around him. He said: Among what I fear for you after me is what will be opened upon you of the splendor of the world and its adornment. A man said: Can good bring evil, O Messenger of Allah? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent. It was said to him: What is the matter with you? You speak to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he does not speak to you? He said: We thought that revelation was descending upon him. He said: Then he recovered, wiping sweat from himself, and said: Where is this questioner?—as if he praised him. Then he said: Good does not bring evil. Among what the spring vegetation grows, it kills or nearly kills, except the grazing animal. When it has eaten until its flanks are full, it faces the sun, then defecates and urinates, then grazes again. This wealth is green and sweet, and excellent is the Muslim's companion—for one who gives from it to the orphan, the needy, and the wayfarer—or as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. And the one who takes it without right is like one who eats but is never satisfied, and it will be a witness against him on the Day of Resurrection.
