حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ نَهَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

إِنَّ اللهَ لَيَسْأَلُ الْعَبْدَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيَسْأَلُهُ يَقُولُ: أَيْ عَبْدِي رَأَيْتَ مُنْكَرًا فَلَمْ تُنْكِرْهُ، فَإِذَا لَقَّى اللهُ عَبْدًا حُجَّتَهُ، قَالَ: يَا رَبِّ وَثِقْتُ بِكَ وَخِفْتُ النَّاسَ

✧ Indeed, God will question the servant on the Day of Resurrection until He even asks him, saying: "O My servant, you saw an evil and did not denounce it." When God gives a servant his proof, he says: "O Lord, I trusted in You and feared the people."
