✧ Gog and Magog will be opened, and they will come out upon the people, as God, Mighty and Majestic, said: From every elevated place they will swarm. They will cover the earth, and the Muslims will withdraw from them to their cities and fortresses. They will gather their livestock to themselves and drink up the waters of the earth, until one of them will pass by a river and drink what is in it, until they leave it dry. Then one of those after them will pass by that river and say: There was once water here. Until, when none of the people remain except one in a fortress or a city, one of them says: These are the people of the earth; we have finished with them, and the people of heaven remain. He said: Then one of them shakes his spear and throws it toward the sky, and it returns to him stained with blood, as a trial and tribulation. While they are in that state, God sends worms in their necks like the larvae of locusts that emerge from their necks, and they become dead in the morning, with no sound heard from them. The Muslims say: Is there not a man who will sell his life for us and see what this enemy has done? He said: A man among them strips himself for that, seeking reward, having resolved that he will be killed. He descends and finds them dead, one upon another. He calls out: O assembly of Muslims, rejoice, for God has sufficed you against your enemy. So they come out from their cities and fortresses and send their livestock to pasture, but there is no pasture for them except their flesh, and they become fat from it as they would from the best vegetation they ever ate.
