حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

أَنَّ صَاحِبَ التَّمْرِ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِتَمْرَةٍ فَأَنْكَرَهَا فَقَالَ: أَنَّى لَكَ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: اشْتَرَيْنَا بِصَاعَيْنِ مِنْ تَمْرِنَا صَاعًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَرْبَيْتُمْ

Translation

✧ The owner of the dates came to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with a date and he refused it. So he asked, "Why do you have this?" The owner responded, "We bought one sa' of dates with two sa's of ours." The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked, "Did you increase it?"
